Pen-drive Shortcut files and folders and they can't be open

       Hi friends, today i came up with a new stuff - recently my friend asked me a doubt regarding about shortcut files and folders created in his pen-drive and he can't see the original data files. "I am saying this problem is generated due to virus definitions not updated or the system don't have Anti-virus". What ever it is i am giving the solution now its 100% tested by me and your going to test it now right.

Steps #1: Check if the file folders are hidden.

  1.  If your PC is running Windows XP,
  2. Click ‘Start’ -->’Run’ --> type ‘cmd’ and click OK. If you are running Windows Vista/7/8 click “Home + R” combination and type ‘cmd’ and then click OK. Note: the ‘Home’ key is located right besides ‘alt’.
  3. Enter this command attrib -h -r -s /s /d <USB Drive name like J>:\*.* (assume your drive letter shows as F: under ‘My Computer’, do not forget to replace it if different).
  4. Press ‘Enter’ button and now check if your files or folders in your removable disk.
Are they visible? If YES, congratulations! You are done.

Example:
  -->  Connect pendrive to computer
  --> Find the driver name Like (C, D, .......)
  --> Suppose your drive is F:
  --> open command prompt
         type F: <press enter key>
  --> Now you get like this F:\>
  --> Enter the below command
  --> attrib -h -r -s /s /d *.*  <press enter key>
  --> that's enough you done now you got all original data files
  --> Now you have to remove the shortcut icons immediately.. :)
